🌕 Mission Moon
Embark on an epic space adventure with Mission Moon, a hands-on STEM experience from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and the Iowa State University Department of Aerospace Engineering! 🚀
Students will get to experience what being an astronaut might be like on a NASA mission as they navigate the stars, travel to the Moon, and explore STEM and aerospace careers. 🧑🚀✨
During Mission Moon, students will:
🚁 Scout a landing site using drones
🛞 Design a rover using the engineering design process
🌑 Collect regolith and build a lunar habitat
🧊 Search for water ice on the lunar south pole
🌌 Visit the planetarium to learn about lunar exploration

⏰ Time: 10:00 AM – 2:30 PM
👧 Who: 4th–6th graders in Winnebago and Hancock County
📍 Location: 216 W School St, Forest City, IA 50436
💵 Cost: $25, includes lunch
