Get ready to look to the skies! ✈️ The 33rd FAI World Aerobatic Championship (WAC 2026) is coming to Mason City, Iowa, August 23 through September 2, 2026!
One of aviation’s most prestigious international competitions, the World Aerobatic Championship will bring the world’s best aerobatic pilots to North Iowa to compete for individual and team honors. 🌎🏆
Throughout the championship, elite pilots from around the globe will perform challenging aerobatic sequences high above the Mason City Municipal Airport. Each flight will be judged on technical accuracy, execution, and overall precision.
Expect incredible displays of skill, discipline, control, and precision as these talented pilots push the boundaries of flight in pursuit of the title of World Champion! 🛩️✨

The championship is FREE and open to the public!
👀 Dedicated spectator viewing areas will be available around the airport on a first-come, first-served basis.
🪑 There is plenty of greenspace available, so bring your lawn chairs and settle in for an exciting day of aviation.
🚗 Free parking will be available for all spectators. Primary parking will be located in the terminal parking area, with additional overflow parking available in the grass.
